RACQ CareFlight helicopters were kept busy in the South Burnett region at the weekend.

On Saturday afternoon, the RACQ CareFlight’s Toowoomba-based chopper landed near Cooyar about 3:30pm to treat a trailbike rider who had been injured in a fall.

The chopper circled the Cooyar Show before landing nearby on a private property.

The male rider, aged in his 40s, suffered a suspected punctured lung. He was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

On Sunday afternoon, a Sunshine Coast-based crew retrieved another injured motorbike rider.

The motocross rider had been taking part in an enduro race near Kilkivan.

Later on Sunday, the Toowoomba helicopter flew into the Blackbutt area to airlift a man injured after falling off a ladder.

He was also transported in a stable condition.
