The Evolution Solar South Burnett Football Sevens Carnival will be held on February 22-23 at Tom Alford Oval in Kingaroy.

Matches kick off at 9:40am on the Saturday with the final games of the day being played at 6:00pm.

The carnival will recommence at 8:00am on the Sunday and culminate with the Women’s and Over 35s Final at 2:30pm, and  the Men’s Final at 3:00pm.

The presentations will be held at 3:30pm.

This will be our largest carnival with 48 teams participating.

Along with local teams, clubs from all over Southern Queensland, including teams from Bundaberg, the Fraser Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Brisbane, Chinchilla, and Roma will be visiting Kingaroy to take part.

There are 24 men’s teams, 12 women’s teams and 12 Over 35’s men’s teams.

The carnival has been running for more than 30 years and has become a permanent fixture on the footballing calendar and is arguably the biggest event on the South Burnett sporting calendar.

Despite fierce competition, the carnival has always been played in the “spirit of the game” and many strong friendships have been forged over the years.

The Evolution Football Sevens Carnival also gives the local economy a huge boost, especially to motels, caravan parks, restaurants and pubs.

We envisage there will be more than 600 visiting players, managers, referees and fans.

A canteen, barbecue, bar, coffee van and merchandising stall will be available on both days of the carnival.
