The first matches on the 2014 season were held on Thursday, January 30 at the Kingaroy State High School Sports Auditorium, and results were as follows:
Juniors:
- Taabinga 7 goals (Ethan Schultz 3 goals) v Attackers 2 goals
- Manchester 6 goals (Denzel Strauss 5 goals) v Dominators 1 goal
- The Blue Team 6 goals v That’s Power 4 goals
- Red Devils 5 goals (Tom 3 goals) v The Villians 3 goals
Red Devils vs The Villains was the game of the day.
Red Devils have started the year with their first win ever, and what a game it was.
At half time, The Villians were up 2 goals to nil and the Red Devils scored all 5 goals in the second period of time. Well done both teams!
Youth:
- White Devils 9 goals just defeated Willis 7 goals (Pacey Clegg 5 goals)
- FC Poor Toe 11 goals defeated Girl Power 5 goals – Girl Power did a great job holding the FC Poor Toe team’s scoring down
- Gladiators 6 goals v FC Poor Toe 13 goals
Seniors:
- Goodies 11 goals defeated the Learners 4 goals
- FC Poor Toe 6 goals had a narrow win over the Pink Panthers 5 goals
- Sh*ts and Gigs 14 goals defeated the A Team 5 goals
- Young Guns had a walk over with Barambah not being able to make the game
- Cougars 11 goals defeated Gunners 2 goals
- Rustixs 10 goals (Sam Gray 6 goals) defeated Panthers 3 goals,
The Rustixs vs Panthers game had it all, with lots of goals and some very crisp passing by both teams.
Well done to the players involved.
Regional News:
Next Sunday, February 9, we are holding Regional Trials at the Kingaroy High School Sports Hall.
- 9:00am – 11:00am: 10 to 13 years old
- 11:00am – 1:00pm: 14 to 16 years old
Some extra games will be played at 1:00pm, and players selected will be off to the Queensland Regional Futsal Tournament at Easter time.
So if you are interested in playing futsal and would like a chance to play for your region, Queensland or even Australia then come down to trials next Sunday.
