Endeavour Rally stalwart Les Porter will be driving his Nissan Patrol in the one-day rally

January 23, 2014

The Endeavour Rally is returning to Kingaroy next month … but only for one day. And all local residents are invited to join in the fun!

The “Endeavour Reunion” one-day rally on Saturday, February 8 is open to all locals and you don’t need any sort of special vehicle to take part.

“It’s open to everyone,” rally stalwart Les Porter told southburnett.com.au today “and it will be staying on the bitumen.”

But the 250km route is top secret, not even Les knows.

He expects “50 plus” local cars to take part as well as Endeavour cars from out-of-town, but he’d love to see even more local drivers joining in.

The fun will start at 7:30am with a breakfast at the Kingaroy Cricket Club. This will be followed by a drivers’ briefing at 9:00am and registration. The first car will be flagged away at 9:30am.

After the cars roll back into the Cricket Club at night, dinner will be available and a game of 20/20 cricket is planned.

Cost to take part in the one-day rally is $50 with all proceeds going to the Endeavour Foundation. Drivers will also go into a draw to win a $500 fuel card while entrants who also sign up to take part in major 2014 Endeavour Rally will go into a draw for a $1000 fuel card.

Les said anyone who would like more information could contact him on 0429-423-264 or drop in to see him at the Kingaroy Cricket Club between 11:00am-2:00pm on the next two Saturdays.
