An Emergency Services spokesperson said at least four properties are currently  (3:20pm) under threat from the flames.

A dozer is being used to help build containment lines to protect houses and sheds.

The fire, which began about 1:30pm, is burning in the area of Bicks Road and Wilsons Road.

UPDATE 6:15pm: Five rural fire crews and two urban crews had the fire contained by 4:15pm.
