Lindsay Wessling, from the Bill Hull Car Centre, is the Rotary Club of Kingaroy’s Pride of Workmanship Award winner for November.
Lindsay was nominated in the “Motor Trades” category by his employer, Jacqui Trace.
“It’s a pleasure to have someone work for you who wants to be at work and enjoys what they do,” she wrote in her nomination.
Lindsay will receive his award at the Rotary meeting on Monday, December 16.
Pride of Workmanship Awards recognise workers in various fields of employment.
In December, the club is calling for nominations from employers and from the public for excellent workers in personal services such as beauticians, hairdressers, gym instructors, masseurs, personal carers etc.
Rotary is promoting Pride of Workmanship to local businesses through the theme of “Do it once – do it well” to help employees achieve the goal of job satisfaction.
The club looks forward to nominations of people who have demonstrated the highest standards and work ethics in a nominated vocation.
“This is an opportunity for employers and customers to publicly recognize employees worthy of an award,” Kingaroy Rotary Club president Damien Tessmann said.
The program will continue throughout the year with workers in different vocations eligible to be nominated.
“One nominee each month will be awarded a trophy of a high quality four-colour metal badge mounted on a rosewood timber-tone back, engraved with the awardee’s name, presenting club and the date,” Mr Tessmann said.
Nominations can be emailed to Val Hooper by the end of the month.
