Anthony Eden … 216 not out

Kingaroy batsman Anthony Eden belted out a double century while playing for Wide Bay at the weekend.

Eden finished with 212 not out off just 148 balls.

Eden and Tony Dugdell have both been selected in the South East Country team which will play North Queensland in Mackay on December 1-2.

Round 5 of the South Burnett Cricket Association 2013-14 competition was played at the weekend.

In A Grade, RSL defeated Wondai at Wondai.

The Wolves won the toss and sent Kingaroy in.

David Hosking (67), Wayne Kelly (66) and Marc Schmidt (57) took to the bowling, helping RSL on their way to 267.

Matt Stumer (3/39) was the best of the Wondai bowlers.

In reply, Wondai were all out for 90, with James Cameron (33) making the majority of this

RSL bowlers shared the spoils, with Graeme Badrick cleaning up the tail with 3 for 3.

In B Grade, Warriors defeated RSL.

RSL batted first and made 157. Top scorers were Brian Walters (33) and Louis Fairbairn (30).

Peter Sorenson and Steve Heness each took two wickets.

Warriors passed the total in the 36th over, finishing with 163.

Hayden Weick finished with 52 and Shane Gray was 32 n/o.
