After a two-year absence – this event was rained out last season – the V8 Sprintcars finally return to Lucas Oil Kingaroy Speedway tonight.
With this being a part of the Queensland Club Championship, a stellar field of 18 winged warriors will grace the 400 metre clayway.
With the likes of Andrew Scheuerle, Danny Reidy, David Muir, Peter Lack, Kevin Titman, Richard Morgan, Paul Morris and a whole host of others, South Burnett and sprintcar fans alike are in for a massive treat when these 900 horsepower beasts unleash their fury.
Doubling the V8 action is the Make a Wish Foundation Zoe Girdlestone Memorial for Late Models who are back again to do battle.
A sensational field of 15 drivers from as far away as Sydney has nominated but they will all be trying to chase down Darren Kane, who has been nearly unstoppable so far this season.
Kingaroy’s Travis Barron returns “back in black” in his #31 machine and is joined by the likes of Queensland champion Aaron Van Zeeland, Blair Granger, Nick Girdlestone and Sydney duo Ben Nicastri and Dave Robertson.
Lightning Sprints and Wingless Sprints make up the awesome program which kicks off with time trials at 6:00pm.
The Sprintcar Superstars will be doing an autograph session at the Snack Shack at 5:30pm prior to racing commencing for those that would like to meet there favourite drivers and get theire program, cap or shirts signed by these superstars.
