Bargain hunters were lured to the Town Common Hall in Kingaroy on Saturday night for the Rotary Club of Kingaroy’s third annual jewellery auction.

The event – which is a popular fundraiser for the club – featured more than 100 pieces of new and pre-loved jewellery, most of which went under the hammer with no reserve price.

When the doors opened at 6:00pm, eager bidders poured over the glass display cases to take a closer look at the items  they would be bidding on later in the evening.

Proceeds from the night will assist one of the club’s major local projects, the renovation of the bathrooms at the South Burnett Community Hospital.
