The Rotary Club of Kingaroy recently launched its 2014 Calendar, highlighting the wildlife of the South Burnett as well as raising money for Rotary’s various club projects.

This is the fifth year that the club has published a calendar.

As in past years, it features photographs from a competition run by the South Burnett Show Society as part of the annual Kingaroy Show.

Entrants had to submit photos taken in the South Burnett that matched the theme, “Wildlife”.

After the official competition finished, Kingaroy Rotary Club members went through all the entries and selected 13 photos which they felt best represented the South Burnett.

Club president Damien Tessmann thanked Mark and Margaret Huston for supervising the project, which he said was an important fundraiser for the club.

Last year between $7000 and $8000 was raised.

Club member Mark Huston said Rotary was very appreciative of Neil Winter who had organised the photography competition at the Kingaroy Show.
