A 19-year-old Kingaroy man has been airlifted to hospital in a stable condition after a collision on the corner of Rogers Drive and the D’Aguilar Highway in Kingaroy at lunchtime today.
The man was the sole occupant of a white Mitsubishi Lancer which collided with a truck and dog trailer combination hauling gravel about noon.
It is believed the Lancer was pulling out onto the highway when the incident occurred.
The truck was heading into Kingaroy.
A police spokesman said the man suffered a broken arm and suspected head injuries.
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter picked up the patient from Kingaroy Hospital and transported him to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
The truck driver was not hurt.
UPDATE October 16: The Kingaroy man is in a stable condition in intensive care at the PA Hospital with head trauma, pelvic injuries and a broken arm.
