October 15, 2013

by Doug Hutcheson

The Kingaroy Writers Association held a workshop on Tuesday, October 15.

We had eight members and two guests present.

The 2013 KWA book is now for sale at $10 per copy.

There was discussion about a new stall for Australian books at the Eumundi markets and we agreed to send a trial shipment of 10 books.

We presented our epigrams and unusual words for the day, including such gems as “sessile”, “reredos”, “zend” and “bruxism”.

We presented our homework, with a break for smoko at 10:30am.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday November 5, 2013.

Homework for that meeting is to write about 1000 words on the topic “Why I Like Living”, to invent an epigram about “Solitary” and to find an unusual word and its meaning.

The Kingaroy Writers Association meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Uniting Church hall, corner Alford and Youngman streets, Kingaroy.

Meetings start at 9:30am and we warmly welcome visitors.
