Kingaroy Senior Soccer Club had record numbers turn up to their Summer Sevens registration night on Wednesday.

Ten Social teams and six Competition teams registered and close to 100 players turned up for a friendly kick around before the competition proper starts next Wednesday evening.

Sevens’ co-ordinators Mick North and Thomas Carroll said they were “gobsmacked” at the turnout.

“We were expecting a good turnout but the number we got was beyond anybody’s expectation.” Mick said.

“It was pleasing to see a huge number of new faces as well as the regulars.”

The number could have been bigger again had Nanango men registered teams but it was great to see everyone with a smile on their face enjoying getting back into their football.
