Toowoomba Regional Council has advised that the Cooyar Suspension bridge, across Cooyar Creek, will be temporarily closed later this month.
The tourist attraction, in Swinging Bridge Park, will be closed from October 14-17 (completely) and then closed during the day only between October 18-31.
The closures will enable maintenance to take place.
Safety works will involve retensioning the bridge’s cables and raising handrails.
