The Nanango Race Club will be holding their annual Heritage Community Branch Race Day Meeting at Lee Park on Saturday as a prelude to the upcoming Nanango Mardi Gras.

As well as a five-race card there’ll be an “Orange, Yella and Best Dressed Fellas” theme and everyone is encouraged to dress up in their best orange or yellow clothes or accessories to be in the running for the Moffatdale Ridge Fashions Of The Field competition.

The club’s popular Pink Champagne bar will be running all day, along with a licensed bar and BBQ; and there’ll be plenty of bookmakers and an on-course tote.

Buses will be running to the races from Kingaroy’s Carrollee Hotel at noon; the Glendon Street Bus Depot at 12:15pm; and the Nanango RSL at 12:30pm.

Gates will open at the track itself at around 12:00 noon so that go-getters can get a head start on the all-important socialising.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for pensioners (under-15s are free).
