The Kingaroy Heritage Museum in Haly Street has been luring local schools lately with several taking the opportunity to catch up on local history.

Museum volunteer Wayne Collier presented talks on the history of the Heritage-listed peanut silos.

The children also enjoyed participating in a “peanut hunt”  and were awarded a certificate for their detective skills.

The museum is open every day and is free.

The South Burnett Regional Council is encouraging parents to visit with their children to learn more about local history.
