Yarraman’s community radio station Wild Horse FM has been approved to host a Certificate III Media training course.
The course will be conducted by the Sydney-based Community Media Training Organisation at the refurbished Wild Horse FM studios at Heritage House in Yarraman.
CMTO training officer Bronwen Loden has released details of the syllabus.
The course will have an orientation night on Friday, October 4, and will then continue with modules over five weekends in October, November, December, January and assessments in February.
Subjects include all facets of presentation of media on a broadcast station.
Early subjects include developing thinking skills and then proceed to developing skills in presentation, mixing sound and editing.
The course is available to all persons seeking TAFE certification of radio skills.
There is a very nominal fee for the course and this will provide lunch with morning and afternoon tea.
Course hours are 9:30am to 4:00pm.
