The Kingaroy Writers Association held a workshop on Tuesday, September 17.

We had eight members present.

We presented our epigrams and unusual words, including such gems as “prolix”, “psephology”, “amanuensis” and “omnopon”.

After smoko, we presented our homework and had a short exercise in “showing, not telling” from Geoff.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday, October 1.

Homework for that meeting is to write about 1000 words on the topic “Had It Been A Fairytale, There Would Have Been Snow”, to invent an epigram on the topic “Time” and to find an unusual word and its meaning.

The Kingaroy Writers Association meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Uniting Church hall, corner Alford and Youngman streets, Kingaroy.

Meetings start at 9:30am and we warmly welcome visitors.
