Ryan Harris, from Kingaroy, made his speedway debut in the Street Stocks demonstration, in possibly the first race to be run around the Kingaroy Speedway in a clockwise direction

September 15, 2013

A huge crowd packed into the Kingaroy Showgrounds on Saturday night to watch a monster night of motoring madness, which included jumps, crunches, fireworks and a demolition derby.

The two monster trucks, Spot and Crusty Demons, stole the show with big jumps and wheel stands which had the crowd of 4000 cheering.

The last car standing in the $1000 demoliton derby was an XF Falcon driven by Kenneth Iseppi, from Toowoomba.

There was also a short speedway program, including demonstration heat races by Street Stocks, running the “wrong” way around the track.

Allen Nottage made history by becoming the first driver to win a Street Stock heat race in Queensland.
