Five fire crews were called to a large grass fire burning near Malar Crescent at Booie this afternoon.
An Emergency Services spokeswoman said the fire brigade was contacted shortly after 3:00pm.
The fire is burning in hilly country and along a gully in an inaccessible area but has been contained.
No houses are under threat.
Fire crews are currently (4:25pm) monitoring the area and dampening down embers and hot spots.
