The Proston branch of the Queensland Country Women’s Association hosted the annual meeting of the Gympie & South Burnett Division last week in the Proston Community Hall.
Members and guests enjoyed a Vietnamese-style lunch, to introduce the country that QCWA members will study next year.
They also had the opportunity to peruse the entries in the finals of the Division cookery, floral art and knitting and crochet competitions, and displays about this year’s country of study, Turkey.
The new Division executive for 2013-14 also officially took over.
Retiring Gympie and South Burnett Division President Elaine Ballin (Maidenwell) and Treasurer Lois Donald swapped positions.
Current Division Secretary Mollie Kratzmann (Kumbia Branch) was re-elected.
Eileen Vos, from the Proston branch, has taken over as Division Press Secretary, replacing Marian Mudra (Kumbia).
