At a recent meeting of the Kingaroy-Memerambi RSL Sub-Branch, members present spoke about the lack of support that widows that are not looked after by Legacy receive.
Deputy president/secretary Warren Cockburn said the members at the meeting thought it would be a good idea if these widows could meet as a group for a luncheon or afternoon tea provided by the Sub-Branch.
“Therefore it was decided to seek expressions of interest from eligible persons,” he said.
“If you are not looked after by Legacy, and would like to attend, please contact the Sub-Branch on (07) 4162-4881 between the hours of 10:00am to 1:00pm on and week day to register your interest.
“Please supply your name, phone number and address.
“Should you require transport this can be arranged as well.”
