Eleven fire crews were called to J Hunters Road at Ballogie about 11:00am today to battle a small bushfire.
The fire had a 500m front when crews arrived.
They concentrated their efforts on protecting a shed which was threatened by the flames.
Ambulance paramedics also treated an adult and child on site but they did not require transportation to hospital.
About 40ha of grass and scrub were burned out.
An Emergency Services spokeswoman said the fire was under control by 12:45pm and most firefighters had left the scene by 2:20pm.
A couple of crews remained on site to monitor the area.
