The Japanese students currently visiting Kingaroy State High School took time out from their busy schedule to drop by the South Burnett Regional Council on Monday.
The students are from Fudooka High School in Kazo-shi, Saitama, about 65km north of Tokyo.
“It is great to have these young people visit our region and take such an interest in our lifestyle, business and place in the world,” he said.
“Their questions were well thought out and they left no stone unturned.”
Kingaroy State High School enjoys a strong sister school relationship with Fudooka High School and the annual visit by their students is now a significant event on both school calendars.
The students only arrived in the South Burnett last week, and one of their first major events was the Flair Concert at the Kingaroy Town Hall on Thursday night.
