The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a 16-year-old boy to hospital this afternoon following an incident at the Manar Park motocross track near Proston.
A CareFlight spokesman said the Gympie teenager was riding with a group of friends when he apparently lost control of his motorbike while crossing a cattle grid. He fell off and injured his back.
The Sunshine Coast based RACQ CareFlight flew to the scene where its flight doctor and intensive care flight paramedic stabilised the boy.
He was flown to the Nambour General Hospital about 2:00pm in a stable condition.
