There were Clubmans, Coopers, Mokes … in fact, Minis of every variety, shape and colour could be spotted on South Burnett roads at the weekend.

Twenty vehicles from the Mini Owners Club of Queensland – and about 55 members – cruised to Yarraman and Nanango, overnighting in the area.

The vehicles and owners came from the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, greater Brisbane, Bundaberg and St George. There was even a local car from Nanango.

They visited Heritage House in Yarraman on Saturday for billy tea and damper, and to take an opportunity to browse through the museum.

On Saturday night, they enjoyed dinner at the Nanango RSL Club.

On Sunday morning, they stopped at South Burnett Kart Hire (the Nanango go-kart track) for a hearty breakfast made by Rosie Osborne and her team.

About 10:00am, 30 of the members hit the track for a hotly contested “mini race” with the karts.

The Mini club has been coming up to Nanango for at least four years.
