South Burnett Regional Council has advised that Levers Road at Murgon will be closed until further notice due to a major landslip below the road.
A Council spokesman said there was now a 200mm drop at the edge of the road shoulder which suggests an imminent collapse at the edge of the road.
Traffic will be detoured via Crownthorpe, Carters and Daniels roads.
