Federal Member for Maranoa Bruce Scott

June 27, 2013

Member for Maranoa and Deputy Speaker Bruce Scott says the Federal Election can’t come quickly enough.

Mr Scott told southburnett.com.au today it was distressing to see the government of Australia in disarray, with senior Ministers resigning and portfolios being abandoned.

He said the the ALP MPs had shown they were more interested in themselves and their jobs than the lives and jobs of 23 million Australians.

Mr Scott said governing Australia should not be about one person.

“It’s about a team,” he said.

He said the LNP had a united, disciplined team and a plan to give to Australia.

Mr Scott said the change of the Prime Minister and the resignation of so many Ministers was “very distressing” from the point of view of the governance of the nation.

“It doesn’t bring stability,” he said.

He said it was important that an election was called as soon as possible.

Mr Scott brushed off suggestions that he was getting too old to run again for Maranoa.

“I bring the experience of a long life. It’s important to have people with different levels of experience in the Parliament,” he said.
