A NSW man on probation for serial car thefts has allegedly struck again.
Police investigating reports of cars being interfered with in Moore Street and Murray Parade in Kingaroy on Tuesday night say they spotted the man driving a stolen car.
They followed him for a short time before he allegedly sped away.
The car was later involved in a crash about 30km outside of Chinchilla.
A male driver was found unconscious in the vehicle and taken to hospital for treatment; a passenger in the vehicle allegedly ran away from the scene.
A man was later released from hospital, interviewed by police and charged over the theft.
He was expected to appear in Dalby Magistrates Court this week.
