Revheads will be in horsepower heaven this weekend with two-days of V8-powered action in Kingaroy.

The Kingaroy and District Vintage Machinery Club is hosting a V8 Tractor Pull on Saturday and Sunday – and a visit by the world’s fastest truck, the legendary Bandag Bullet – at their grounds (Butwell Park) at the back of the Kingaroy Airport.

The tractor pull features specially modified V8-powered mini tractors from Victoria. The tractors, rated up to an amazing 1500hp, will be pulling weight-transfer sleds over a 100m course to see which can go the furthest.

There’ll also be custom-built tractors, antique tractors, hot rods and a truck show.

The fun gets underway on Saturday at 9:00am and is scheduled to run to about 7:00pm; on Sunday it will run from 9:00am-noon.

There’ll also be market stalls, food stalls, the Lions barbecue and a licensed bar.

Entry cost is $15 for adults; under 15s are free.

A ride in the Bandag Bullet is also being raffled, with $5 tickets.

The event is a fundraiser for the Kingaroy and District Vintage Machinery Club which is working on improving its grounds.
