A “thank you” dinner to celebrate what the Murgon community has achieved over the past four months will be held on Saturday night (June 22) in Murgon.
The dinner is to thank all the people who volunteered to cook for the BlazeAid volunteers or have helped in many different ways during the 2013 flood evacuation.
The dinner will be held at St Joseph’s School Hall, Angel Avenue, from 6:30pm.
Farmers and Blazeaid volunteers have been asked to attend.
All guests are requested to bring a covered dish which will be served as a smorgasbord meal.
Murgon Business and Development Association president Leo Geraghty said there would be a special appearance by singer Dean Perrett.
“Let’s show our appreciation by attending, please don’t let me down, bring your friends and pack the hall,” Mr Geraghty said.
RSVP by tomorrow (June 20) to Doreen Campos on (07) 4168-1916 or mobile 0417-730-287 (or just come with a plate).
