Yarraman P-10 School is surveying parents and community members to determine if it should change to a “Prep to Year 9” school.

Principal Ashley Roediger and Nanango State High School principal Darryl Early have hosted a number of community meetings to discuss the viability of remaining a P-10 school.

“Only 22 parents attended these meetings, however the support for the proposal to change to a Prep to Year 9 school has been overwhelming,” Mr Roediger said.

However in an attempt to increase the input from the school community, Mr Roediger has prepared a survey which has been sent home to parents with the school’s newsletter.

“I have asked that these surveys be completed by Friday, July 19, and returned to the school,” Mr Roediger said.

“In addition I invite community members to write a more detailed response either supporting or opposing the decision.”
