Two South Burnett Thrashers players have been selected for representative duty with the Darling Downs rugby union.

Scott Sims and Kyron Tunstall have been selected in the  Darling Downs team which will be playing in the Queensland Country Championships at Helensvale this weekend.

The Darling Downs side will take on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday, and then back-up on Sunday to play the Gold Coast.

Downs Rugby general manager Cameron Donaldson said a South Queensland team would be selected from players from these three regions to play Central Queensland and North Queensland, with the ultimate aim being selection in the Queensland Country Heelers.
