Country Focus news magazine through the years

May 3, 2013

southburnett.com.au congratulates Nanango’s Ross and Sandy Towell on the milestone achievement of this week publishing the 200th edition of Country Focus news magazine.

Country Focus was “born” in Nanango on March 4, 2005, to Peter and Christy Stephens from Country Print and Design.

Ross and Sandy Towell bought the newspaper in April 2007

“Two hundred editions! I had never dared to dream that our small community paper, started eight years ago would be going so strong, still gaining in popularity and being requested by communities across the South Burnett and further,” Ross said this week.

“Country Focus now has a distribution of 9700 copies and goes as far as Ireland and to our troops in Afghanistan as well as a growing network of subscribers across Australia.

“Of course none of this would be possible without the support of our advertisers.

“We constantly ask our readers to support these local businesses – “Keep It Local and the Locals Will Keep Going”.

Ross said Country Focus would be moving into new premises at Nanango in the near future.
