A Gympie man has appeared in court charged over the slaughter of two Droughtmaster cows near Widgee last month.
Police alleged Matthew Robert Wakefield shot the cattle – including one that was heavily pregnant – with a bow and arrow before butchering the carcasses for meat.
Wakefield had been remanded to re-appear in Gympie Magistrates Court next month.
