Graham House Community Centre in Murgon will receive an extra $5500 in Federal Government funding in recognition of their role in assisting people in need during the recent flooding in the area.
Member for Wide Bay Warren Truss said emergency relief funding had been provided to assist Graham House to extend emergency assistance to struggling families and pensioners who suffered loss in the recent floods.
“The funding is being used to provide food and clothing and assistance with accommodation and bills,” he said
“Emergency relief assistance is vital to ensure that struggling households have access to the basic necessities to help them through difficult times.”
