A youth who was sentenced to a 12-month intensive correction last September after pleading guilty to seven charges was back before Kingaroy Magistrates Court today on six new counts.
Nicholas Wayne Swan appeared in court via a video link from prison.
Probation and Parole Officer Ms Libby Bateman said Swan’s response to the supervision order had been extremely poor. He had failed to attend community service on multiple occasions and would not attend interventions.
She asked that the outstanding period of his original sentence be invoked.
Magistrate Mark Bucknall noted that there had been little or no compliance with the intensive correction order.
He ordered that Swan serve 294 days in jail but declared that the four days he had been held in custody would be considered time served.
He set a parole release date of July 22, 2013.
The latest six charges were adjourned to June 14, 2013.
