They’re obviously not working him hard enough down at Council … former breakfast announcer Mayor Wayne Kratzmann will be getting back behind a microphone at 90.7 CROW-FM on Sunday night. But it’s all for a good cause.
The one-off “Return to the Groove” is a direct result of the Radiothon held last month to raise funds for the Mayor’s South Burnett Red Earth Flood Appeal.
One listener – obviously a fan – rang in and bid $500 if Kratzie would do another Sunday night show on CROW-FM.
So from 6:00pm to 10:00pm this Sunday, April 14 Mayor Kratzmann will be spinning some discs live on air and hoping to raise more funds for the flood appeal by playing requests.
So far the Mayor’s Flood Appeal has raised almost $59,000 to assist the region’s flood victims, but he hopes to get the total much higher before the Appeal winds up in June.
Kratzie did his last shift at CROW-FM on March 19 last year after 14 years at the station.
