A 19-year-old Nanango man was lucky to escape serious injury when his car rolled on the D’Aguilar Highway just outside Kingaroy this afternoon.

A police spokesman said the man apparently lost control of his sedan about 12:30pm after swerving.

Over-correcting, the vehicle hit a high dirt gutter on the northern side of the highway and rolled.

The man escaped the vehicle without assistance but was transported by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital for observation.

The incident occurred between Edenvale South Road and Ushers Road.
