When Holly Ferling returns from India after starring with the Australian women’s cricket team, she’ll quickly be trading a cricket ball for netball.

Holly has been selected for the Wide Bay Thundercats netball team which launched its 2013 campaign on Sunday with a pre-season victory over Gympie.

The Thundercats dominated every quarter to finish ahead 43-17, with Kingaroy’s Libby Daniels on target as goal attack.

The first round of the season will be played on March 9 against the Darling Downs Panthers at the State Netball Centre in Mt Gravatt.

This will be followed by a match against Kedron Wavell S.C. Cougars at Shalom College in Bundaberg on March 23.
