The South Burnett Regional Council is requesting assistance to gather photos of farms affected by the Australia Day weekend floods to send to the Federal Government.

The South Burnett has been asked to provide extra evidence to be declared a Disaster Region (Category C) under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).

Council requires the photos by 10:00am tomorrow (Thursday, February 7) as the evidence has to be submitted to the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry by Thursday this week.

A council spokesman said photos can be emailed to flood@southburnett.qld.gov.au or dropped in on a USB stick to any Council office so they can emailed through on your behalf. Please include the location that the photographs were taken.

UPDATE: The SBRC reported on Thursday, February 7, it had received 785 photos of farms in flood or with flood damage in response to its appeal.
