A Nanango business has donated a complete kitchen to help raise money for the Mayor’s Red Earth South Burnett Flood Appeal.
PRIORity Joinery has donated a kitchen valued at more than $2000 for the “radiothon” which is being held by CROW-FM on Sunday, March 3.
“We are very thankful to PRIORity Joinery for kicking off the donations to the radiothon by donating this kitchen,” Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.
“We will be auctioning other items donated in our radiothon. I would encourage any business who can afford to make a donation to please dig deep during these tough times.
“The item can be big or small, every donation helps us raise more funds for the people affected in the South Burnett.”
PRIORity Joinery managing director Geoff Prior said that as soon as he heard about the appeal, he thought about donating the kitchen.
“We were going to sell it but this way it will go to a better cause,” he said.
“My wife Jill and I were lucky to not have been affected by the floods but we want to help those who have. We have seen the devastation done to our farmers and understand the flow-on effects to our community.
The donated kitchen has a navy blue top and high top servery with beige wooden cabinetry. It includes all cabinetry, overheads, pantry, dishwasher, oven cooktop and range hood.
The kitchen is 3m x 3.7m. For more information about the kitchen’s dimensions, phone Geoff on 0419-670-894.
