Police believe a man – who may be armed with a firearm – that fled barefoot on foot after a dispute at a home near Kingaroy on Sunday has left the area.
However, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank said residents should remain vigilant and if they see anything suspicious, contact police.
Anyone who recognises the man should not approach him.
The 31-year-old former Booie resident has family connections in the Kingaroy area and is known to police.
Roadblocks were erected in the Curtis Road / Schellbachs Road area on Sunday morning as police scoured bushland looking for the man.
Residents also reported seeing a helicopter circling the Booie area.
The dispute is believed to have been between family members.
