Proston Showgrounds was the place to be on Saturday night for the annual Proston & District Lions Club Christmas Carnival.

There were rides for the kids, plus face-painting and a mini fire truck doing circuits of the oval.

For their parents, there were raffles plus a very popular chocolate wheel with hams, chickens, Christmas cakes, bacon trays and fruit and vegies as prizes.

There was also plenty of festival food to enjoy and Lions Club members manned the bar.

Other volunteers helping to make the night happen came from the local P&C, scouts and QCWA.
