A cent auction held on Saturday to raise funds for the Chaplaincy program at Taabinga State School has been hailed a success.

Michelle LeGrand, secretary of the school’s Chaplaincy Committee, said the cent auction raised about $2600.

“It was really good, we had a lovely afternoon,” she told southburnett.com.au.  “And we had lots of great quality prizes.”

Michelle said her committee would like to send a big “thank you” to the women from Baptist church, who made the sandwiches, and the Church of Christ, who did the baking for the afternoon tea.

The funding will be put towards programs run by the school’s chaplain, Alexia Back.
