A 29-year-old man charged after a fatal traffic crash that killed two women at Booubyjan in August has been remanded to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates’ Court on November 29.
Charges against Jeremy Karl Crane, who was not required to appear, were mentioned in Kingaroy Magistrates Court today.
He has been charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, possessing dangerous drugs, and driving a motor vehicle while a relevant drug was present in his blood or saliva.
Stephanie Mylonas, 20, and Stacey Richter, 21, from the Toowoomba Mountaineers basketball team, were travelling back from a game in Bundaberg when they were killed in a head-on collision on the Burnett Highway on August 19.
A 41-year-old woman, a 13-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy from the same vehicle were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
