The story of young Kingaroy resident Chloe Blinco-Kregenbrink, 4, who suffered irreversible nerve damage in her leg after a bout of the flu, has touched local residents who have come to the family’s aid.

Chloe can only walk with the aid of a crocodile walker and a special leg brace which has to be re-made at least twice a year, a large expense for the young family.

Earlier this year, a fundraiser held outside Mitre 10 raised some much-needed cash for the family.

On Friday, Wondai Lions also joined in, donating a cheque for $3000 for Chloe’s future needs, and also giving the young girl some special presents.

Mum Tracey Blinco said the cheque would be put towards the various modifications which are necessary for the family’s house, including rails and changes to the bathroom.
