Firefighters called to a blaze at Speedwell today protected eight farm buildings from flames.
An Emergency Services spokesman said 14 fire crews stopped the fire from spreading to an adjoining 320ha hardwood plantation.
The fire burned 200ha of grassland before it was contained.
It is currently burning within containment lines.
Crews are expected to remain on the scene until late tonight to monitor the situation.
UPDATE October 28: Firefighters are monitoring the area for hotspots but no property is under threat.
