Police have charged a 29-year-old man from Dingo following a fatal traffic crash that occurred at Booubyjan in August which killed two Toowoomba basketball players.
Stephanie Mylonas, 20, and Stacey Richter, 21, from the Toowoomba Mountaineers, were travelling back from a game in Bundaberg when they were killed in a head-on collision on the Burnett Highway on August 19.
A 41-year-old woman, a 13-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy from the same vehicle were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle has been charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and one count each of possession of dangerous drugs and driving whilst a relevant drug is present in blood or saliva.
He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on November 8.
