The Campaign4Chloe fun day in Kingaroy on Saturday has raised an impressive $6296 to help provide for the youngster’s future needs.

Chloe Blinco-Kregenbrink, 4, contracted a virus when she was just 18 months old which left her with severe nerve damage in her right leg. She can only walk with the aid of a crocodile walker and a special leg brace which has to be re-made at least twice a year.

Mum Tracey told southburnett.com.au she was very grateful for all the support she had received during the fun day, which was held in the carpark outside Sunshine Mitre 10.

The special stars were Australian drag racing champs Victor and Ben Bray, from Team Bray Racing, who brought along their “big red truck” and two supercharged drag cars for the fans.

“It was a great day and heaps of fun,” Tracey said.

“The Brays are lovely people and we really appreciate they could come up. They are so busy. They have to leave on Tuesday to get to Bathurst for next weekend.”

Team Bray Racing had also been fund-raising for Chloe by selling raffle tickets in the lead-up to the fun day.

Terry Mackrell, from the South Burnett Gas Guzzlers car club,  brought over his red Ford hotrod, and the  club presented Tracey with a cheque for $500. The Mackrell family topped this up with a personal donation of $400.

Jason Mackrell also donated a 125cc Orion motorbike as a raffle prize.

Tracey said she was overwhelmed with the generosity of local businesses who had donated raffle prizes and/or services for the fun day.

These included Harvey Norman (who donated a 117cm TV) and Sunshine Mitre 10.

Other supporters included Australia Zoo, Brisbane Broncos, Carrollee Hotel, Crane Wines, Empowering Jewellery, Enchanted Faces,  Express Embroidery, Jen’s Party Supplies, Kingaroy Great Outdoors and Marine, Kingaroy Refrigeration, Kingaroy Rotary Club, Kingaroy Wholistic Health Centre, Linard Floral and Bridal Centre, Little Bit Lush, NQ Cowboys, Pharmacy Essentials, Pro-Tec Light and Sound,  Queensland Bulls, Quota Club of Kingaroy, Snap Fitness, South Burnett Hire and Sales, South Burnett Regional Council, Star Tyrepower, SupaIGA Kingaroy, Sunny Ridge Gardens, Supercheap Auto,  Three Girls Skipping Cafe, The Peanut Van, Toyworld,  888 Racing, Zarly Anne’s Tone & Tan.
